I am offering for sale this FINE USER Antique Stanley Bailey No 5C Type 19 1948-61 Jack Plane Inv#CR43
Here we have a fine Stanley Bailey No 5 Corrugated Type 19 1948-61 Jack Woodworking Plane that has been taken apart, cleaned and now ready to go….The tote has issues that the owner carved his name in side of it, and it has some nicks at top (see photos). but no cracks or splits. The knob is in nice condition with only a few nicks. The plane’s japanning is exceptionally nice. The corrugated sole and cheeks have some signs of pitting but have cleaned up nicely. The plane measures approx., 14″ x 2-3/8″. The cutter is marked Stanley in the notched logo Made in USA. The cutter has pitting but cleaned up well. It measures 7-1/2″ L x 2″ W. I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. Stanley is marked vertical on the lateral adjustment lever (see all photos)
PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT true-up soles or sharpen cutters, I leave that up to you, the expert…
