This is an American made 6 lb. Wood splitting maul. 32″ hickory handle with a poplar wedge, leather mask included. Will have to add pics of the mask later.

I am the sole proprietor for the Belfield Axe & Tool business. I run my restorations out of the shop attached to my home here in Medford Oregon. The majority of my pieces are sourced from local yard sales and other local picks. I do occasionally purchase through eBay and have also picked up a few from a local scrap yard.
The handles I use for axes and hatchets have been primarily store bought handles that I’ve customized and fit to each tool. I’m in negotiations with a local mill to start sourcing hardwood blanks so I can start to make handles myself.
I also make a conditioning wax that is included with the purchase of any of my axes or tools or it can be bought in individual 1 oz tins.
I am the father of two beautiful children and the husband of one gorgeous wife. I work full time and do this when I’m home and everyone else is asleep. It’s a passion that’s really grown on me and I am so happy to bring things from forgotten in a barn to chopping through your wood pile.
