The Disston D-15 Victory saw is on of Disston’s top of the line saws. The rosewood handle signifies top quality with London “Extra refined spring steel”. Yet even with the beauty of the rosewood the large flying eagle etch steals the show. It is the Flying Eagle carrying the Liberty Bell with the flags of WW1 allies in the background. Above it all is the word “VICTORY” for America’s and the world’s victory during WW1. The saw was made 1918-1920’s just after end of the war. 8PPI and freshly sharpened with a 15 degree rake angle and a 20 degree fleam angle which makes for a smooth and fast cutting saw in both hardwoods and soft woods. Perfectly straight with no rust or pitting on the blade.
